You overestimate metallicas draw in 2026

Sturgill Simpson and Billy Strings have shows in NOLA later this year if you're interested in a real concert with classier people in attendance.

How about a Rush and Metallica double bill?

Have you looked at Metallica’s 2026 concert venue schedule? How does Baton Rouge and LSU fit in with the venues they’re playing? This isn’t the 90’s and Baton Rouge is getting the draw they demand.

He doesn’t have enough good songs to headline.
He has 97 songs that have made the billboard top 100. Whether you think they're garbage or not, people seem to like it

You call that music? Sounds more like a guy angrily talking in a mic and rhyming.
I don’t really listen to Post Malone, but his most popular songs that got him air play and a fanbase are nothing like angrily talking into the microphone. It’s more melodic and catchy riffs. You must be thinking of someone else or just amalgamating music you don’t listen to.

Should have booked Morgan Wallen. He’s selling out SEC and NFL stadiums

You pay a lot for Morgan wallen tickets but that dude puts on a performance. Love or hate him, you are entertained. Also, he always has at least one huge act opening for him. Ella, brooks and Dunn, and Thomas Rhett opening for him this current tour.

The ticket sales for this tour were not what was anticipated.

I got sulfur burps a few times in my life and they suck!

Make you sick as hell too.

One time was from eating at a cookout before a dove hunt.

After the fact , I found out the cook was reported to be spraying lighter fluid in between the meat. Smh

Currently, the list is probably only Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen.
King George would pack the place out they should have gone all in on getting him if they wanted to do tiger stadium shows

Sadly, I have not.

I'm almost 66 years old. I was not much of a fan of Metallica in my younger years, but I have grown to appreciate their greatness. I would love to see them live sometime before I die.

I've seen Rush 3 times.

ETA: Just looked at Metallica's tour dates. They're doing Europe right now, but looks like they're taking up residence at the Sphere in Las Vegas for a while after that. Gives me a good reason to go to Vegas.

Genuinely curious why Metallica is the boomer meme for a “big band” still? They haven’t been majorly relevant in probably 20 years.

When he played Bayou Country Superfest in 2014, I know the Friday night with George Strait, Reba, and Chris Young sold out, but I can only find numbers for total weekend attendance of 135,000 for all 3 days.

I’m guessing George had about 65-70,000 on the Friday night he performed, but would be curious if he could sellout all of Tiger Stadium like Garth did without an act like Reba with him.

He would without a doubt. He had 110,000 people at his Kyle Field concert a couple of years ago. An act like that for an event like Tiger Stadium draws people from all over the country.

Was also one of the only times Kyle Field has hosted a concert so there was some novelty to it.
