Because then you would have to take a more talented player off the field to do so. Johnson was selfless and that’s amazing but he has done nothing to show he should have taken reps away from others.

It was an emotional decision that shows a complete lack of judgement. To not even interview anyone else is crazy. Maybe Golding would have been the guy anyways but to just give him the job with no real process is crazy and not being talked about enough.

After that press conference I know for certain he had made his decision. Either he is staying and doesn’t want to distract on his son’s championship day or he is leave and doesn’t want to distract. That man knows what he is doing and that leads me to believe

Correct. People on this board are so dramatic. Ole miss would simply suspend him with pay for the playoffs or until a deal with a different university is done.

They shouldn’t show the budget including the federal funded part unless the state says they will fund x program it if the feds stop. That’s a completely different conversation that should be had about the feds overspending. I want to see apples to apples Louisiana taxes being spent.

If I was lane and ole miss I would announce my departure but finish the season. It happens alll the time, just not with playoff teams.

Hypothetically let’s say ole miss makes the playoffs and isn’t announced to the new school until after his current team loses in the playoffs. This could be after the transfer portal. Wouldn’t this mean he would have no opportunity to bring in players for the 26 year and it would just be whoever didn’t leave from thus year?
