Since we currently don't hsve any audio, for the sake of discussion, what's everyone's opinion on the dialog between them.

Shooter: [exits vehicle brandishing a handgun] "Mutha frickah, you bes' stay ovah 'dere b'foe I buss a cap in your lily-white arse!!!"

Dead guy: [walking from a distance, but getting closer] "frick you, black bitch! Whut th'frick is in her hand? Is that a gun?" [Walking closer] "What are you gonna do, shoot me?"

Shooter: [Waiving gun as she speaks] "Stay back, mutha frickah or I'll peel your cap! I'm warning you, stay back or you gunna find out!!!"

Dead guy: [Arms raised still periodically advancing on the shooter] "Shoot me then! Here I am, shoot me!"

I think this type of conversation continues until he finally walks away, only to return an FAFO.

It's not unusual for the suspect to be released while they investigate. After they finish the investigation, they present their findings to the prosecutor's office who makes the decision whether to prosecute or rule it as self defense.

The cops don't decide guilt.

The cops had all the facts at the scene of the "crime" including CCTV, which was undoubtedly reviewed. This isn't some potential suspect in a developing open case

*Sigh* The prosecutor's office is often called from the scene in high profile cases to see if an arrest should be made while they investigate.

So she got the gun from inside her car then exits the car with the gun and is obviously looking to confront the man she was arguing with about the parking spot with her gun.

She then shoots the unarmed man when he slowly turned and stepped toward her about a car length away.

Why is she still walking free now?

Of course she will. She was the aggressor the second she exited her vehicle with weapon drawn.

Well, if he was intentionally blocking her in as claimed... getting out armed is in fact a very reasonable response to false imprisonment. You see, when you confine someone from leaving an area, against their will, like he allegedly did, that is actually a forcible felony in Florida.

He had already move his car from blocking her as you can see from one of the videos.

He’s not dead because of a parking space.

He’s dead because he kept right on bulldogging the woman until she decided to stop running and end the threat.

Is it illegal to step out of your car with a weapon in that situation? I’m not asking if it’s smart, but is it illegal? Like the guy Rick Chow running out of his store after that 14 year old in South Carolina. He probably should not have done that, but it wasn’t illegal in South Carolina. I don’t know that answer? Is suspect it wasn’t illegal and it will be judged self defense.

he was blocking her OUT of the spot, not in.

Blocking in = preventing from leaving.
Blocking out = preventing from parking.

It was a dispute over a parking space.

LOL are you really comparing legal carring a weapon to getting out of your car with a loaded weapon in hand while in the middle of an argument over a parking spot in a public parking lot? If you don't see the difference, then you are beyond reason and hope.

You sound like the prosecution in the Rick Chow case. He ran 100+ yards out of his store with a gun. The kid left the premises of his store. The prosecution kept saying how wrong it was to chase after a kid over a water bottle. His lawyer destroyed that by asking if that’s illegal to run out of his store with a gun. Is it illegal? That’s what I want to know. Do you have a right to step out of your car with a loaded weapon in that situation? It will be interesting to see it play out.

By standing next to her car taking to the people in the car next to her as he comes running across the parking lot, directly towards her, and starts bulldogging her as she backs away?

You can’t imagine a scenario where getting out with your gun, to see if he’s still around, is reasonable? Again, she didn’t take two steps after she got out of her car. You can see better and it’s not like a car is some sort of impenetrable fortress.

ETA: if you’ve only seen the 2 second clip and are commenting, you are a fulltard. Fact.

Wondering if the delay in announcing charges indicates there might not be any. I assume they have all the video shown here and more. Just can't imagine what else they would be waiting for to announce charges or self defense.

Wouldn’t they take this case to a grand jury first?

Only if they want an additional set of eyes to review the case. Usually the prosecutor makes the call.

The situation is nothing like that case. This is in a public parking lot arguing over a public parking space and like posted above he was blocking her out of the space, no false imprisonment etc. No laws were broken other than probably calling each other names etc. They both had a right to be there.

She will have to articulate why she introduced the gun. Maybe she can do so, maybe not.

I wouldn't read too much into her not being charged immediately. Politics is always involved when race is in play and I'm sure the big holiday weekend was factored in. They will take their time and have everything lined up no matter which way they go.

I don’t know about you but if I pulled a gun on someone and they kept coming at me, they are crazy enough in my eyes that if I let them get close, they’re going to use it on me if they can get it

Did you miss the part where she retreated away from him for over a solid minute and he followed her?

I think she was good up until the end when he was walking away and she walked towards him, he then turns around and walks back. Once she followed him if only for a few steps she is no longer standing her ground or self defense.

If she really though her life was in danger and needed a gun she should have left the scene in that car instead of looking to confront the man to argue with more with a gun.

Then after she shoots the unarmed man who never even touched her she yells at him and taunts him as he is bleeding out dying on the ground.

BTW, I have seen several different clips.

If an unarmed man is coming at you repeatedly after you pull a gun on him, what do you think he’s going to do if he gets within reach of you?

Anyone who is basing their opinion off the two second clip of her shooting him needs to have their voting rights revoked
