You mean the people bringing in $150k a year, with a $500k house, with a pair of $100k cars, a wife who sends amazon a few grand a month? Those guys? The ones who don't have a nickel left after the 15th?

Th ones that buy a used one do.
Should’ve see the afield face when we quoted her almost 6 grand for a top on her used Mercedes convertible she bought for less than $20,000.

Used $100K+ cars are cheap for a reason.
Quadrasteer from 20+ years ago. Can't get parts for them I've heard.
Worked very well but was a pretty expensive option so didn't sell well. Haven't seen one in years.

My 34 yr. old stepdaughter drives a Nissan Sentra and will pass up spots big enough to park an old time full-size Cadillac because she can't even grasp the concept of parallel parking.
I've given up trying to teach her over the years because it's nothing short of a comedy of errors. Her trying to parallel park is the stuff of U-tube video fails.
She has a class at Tulane once a week she has to attend for her Masters in Education and almost panics if running late because she has to find that perfect "just drive straight in" parking space.

Had a similar car back the day...
My car now has RWS and AWD; it'll get corners pretty well.

It’s a pretty handy feature to have in an off road vehicle.

Unless it's for things like logging trucks to make tight turns on switchbacks, this is useless and will do nothing but make vehicle prices go up. Auto makers are idiots these days. People want cheap, reliable cars.

Genius move by the car companies and many "baws" will go into hock to get these crustacean like vehicles and brag to their friends about it. Karen will no doubt love the function as will service writers

The fact that a ton of people can't parallel park was a bonus for me at LSU in the 80s. It meant I always had at least one parking space available to me right behind my dorm at Pentagon no matter the time of day or night.

I work with guys who spend every penny of a $1500+ paycheck every week… not a dime left by Tuesday

You think people who spend $100k on a vehicle care how much repair bills go for?
Yes they sure do. You have two classes of people who buy that car:
(a) people who finance the shite out of everything and a $5000 bill to repair steering gear on wheels that don't need to steer is a payment or two on that car
(b) people who have oodles of money, pay cash, and didn't get rich by being dumb and hate that kind of crap

Relative to other driving maneuvers, it’s complex and most people rarely need to, so most people never get good at it and simply avoid ever having to do it.
Unless you live in a densely populated area, there’s always a “straight in” parking option even if you have to walk a little further. Before I got a car with a backup camera, I always just avoided doing it because it’s a PITA when you’re not proficient.

Everyone in here saying this is pointless obviously has never had to traverse Tsavo highway fighting against the covenant forces...

Every car I've ever owned has been a manual. Current car is a six-speed MINI Cooper JCW.
