Ideally there wouldn’t be any women in the military at all aside from maybe a woman’s auxiliary that cooks and does paperwork and some medical tasks.

They've had women serving since at least WW2 in those roles as well as others, just not in combat. Bea Arthur was in the Marines in WW2, starting as a typist but eventually driving a delivery truck, but that was stateside.

I do not like the idea of women in combat for many reasons.

I play in a co-ed slow pitch league. We switch balls between men and women. Men's balls don't go as far. In my last tournament, 30 people showed up. 24 guys and 6 girls. We were playing 285 ft fields with 25 ft high fences (netting). Probably 6 guys were able to hit the fence in the air. Not 1 single woman hit one further than 120 ft. Bases were 70 ft. They maybe at tops cleared the bases by 30 ft on bloopers.

So you had handful of guys hit prob 295 ft to 300 ft if fence removed, and had 1 female who topped out at 120 ft. Btw, she was prob 5'11" 260 lbs too. The other 5 women topped out at 95 ft. All this, and the men had to hit with larger balls that don't go as far as the female balls.

I'd say the average hit of a man there went over 200% of the distance compared to what the female average hit was, despite men using balls that travel much less further than the female balls used. Really is that bad.

I'm not going to argue that women shouldn't be in the military period, but there are a number of issues with having women in units that I have observed:

1. Fraternization. Often turns into sexual assault type stuff that ends up being a legal nightmare.
2. Unnecessary drama.
3. Women tend to make poor leaders. Often have a chip on their shoulder.
4. Double standards, especially when it comes to physical tasks.
5. Makes training/logistics more difficult.

Just my .02. I've met many top notch female soldiers, so definitely not advocating they shouldn't be in the military. The whole physical fitness double standard for infantry units is absolute bullshite, though.

Good start, but women don't belong in combat unless it's the last resort. There are absolutely brilliant and ruthless women who we need in our military and security services. Look into who found Osama bin Laden. But they should not be kicking doors.

Women generally have more aptitude with abstract thinking, which is lethal in the right context.

I don’t know much about these standards but given these people could end up in combat then there is no reason for separate standards. Everyone around them will depend on their capabilities.

This is fricking common sense.

Curious to see if they just lowered the male requirements or if they are actually requiring females to be fit now.

figure out what’s needed and hold everyone to that standard.

No more females getting passed through Ranger School without having to meet the standards. I hope so.

Don't plenty of women fight (well) in combat roles for the IDF?

Link?

Do you have an actual credible source with proof of this, or are you just talking out of your arse or repeating something you heard in a video on FaceBook?

So you’re saying your sister would most likely kick your arse in a fight? Embarrassing

American men have been dying in wars in the 99% rate compared to women historically.

every single scientific study on the matter disagrees with you. aggressively. women are much more capable of micro thinking and action. it’s literally in their DNA. and they’re much, much better than us at it. macro level, the disparity is as wide as the grand canyon
