Jonathan is like those old black ladies who say they’re 125 with no verification

Remember reading up about this tortoise last year. RIP big dawg. Doesn’t someone on this board live on an island right next to St. Helena? this board never ceases to amaze

There is a 200 year old pea sized snail named Gerald somewhere right now saying, "frick you, Jonathan!".

RIP, Ol' boy. You were the true embodiment of "Taking it easy".

ETA: The good news is that now they can cut him in half and count his rings to get a true record of his age.

When he was born, the then President of the US, thought the world was flat.

My kids are all in their 30’s. About 15 years ago I told them they would probably live to be 200. I’m more convinced of that now than ever.

Harvard researchers have already made cells “younger” in lab mice, and they are starting experiments to do the same in human organs.

Did they verify his birth certificate to confirm his age?

If not mark it with an asterisk.

I’ve never heard of this fella. Really amazing that he got to live that long.

There was always going to be the last vet to care for Jonathan.

Not on my watch!

Glad I am not them, though.

The Governor of St Helena, Nigel Phillips, has confirmed Jonathan Tortoise is alive and well - he has just checked on him. This post is false and the real Joe Hollins does not have an X account.

Damn! April Fools hoodwinked a bunch of us with this one.
