I don’t understand why they are so reluctant to say serial killer. I’m anxious to hear the details of how they put the case together. I keep thinking that the first murder might have been a case where he had an issue with him and shot him because of it. But, the others seem more random.

I think they are reluctant to say serial killer bc if they tie all the murders together and for some reason, he didn't actually do one, then it could hurt their case with him on the other 3.

I doubt that is true because one mandatory life sentence (or death penalty) is just as good as 3 or 4. There would be no need to go through the pain and expense of 4 trials when all you need is to convict him of 1 or 2 of the murders.
See Derrick Todd Lee as an example... they know he killed 7+ women but only convicted him of two. Made no sense try him for all 7.
Regardless, glad they got this guy off the street.
