Update: my sons federal job has been postponed for the time being :(

My son is crying right now because he was ready to serve proudly for the NPS and now that opportunity is on hold for the foreseeable future- all in part because of Elon Musk’s role starting in January for the federal government.
- I hope Elon is happy taking away a federal job from someone who doesn’t believe in woke nonsense. And no this is not trumps fault either!
Ps, any local news outlets eat want to speak to my son can eat it - go ask the hard hitting questions to our policymakers instead of wasting our time on Tik Tok

Nice troll. Elon doesn’t have any official position with the federal government. He’ll be an adviser to President Trump but DOGE isn’t a real federal agency. Elon literally won’t have the power to do anything other than make recommendations—all of which Trump should follow.

While I am sure there is bloat within the NPS, it would probably be the last federal department I would look at for cuts. America's park system is the envy of the world.
