Its actually headed towards West Texas. I'm sitting in an office building about 1 mile away (direct line) from the site and can see the smoke and the line across the sky.

It’s blanketed the sky over houston and turned this into an overcast day. From my office off Westpark I can see it rising from the Deer Park area. It’s a lot of fricking smoke.

Looks like a river of smoke flowing. Just insane amount of coverage. Know they sent everyone home from Lyondell off 225 because they're getting soot dropping on everything

Sure, but you literally cannot get in there to fight the fire anymore than they are without risk to the guys and gals on the ground.

Air quality concerns. We have contractors in my facility and in others that have gone home for the day who do not want to put their employees at risk of whatever will drop from the sky.
Schools in the area made the same call.
