Now can ole boys parents be arrested for hindering an investigation?
How’d they do that?

The FBI has said they're issuing a statement about the GP investigation. If they found June guy's body and had to call off the search dogs in the GP investigation because of that, that is a statement pertinent to the GP investigation
Stop reaching, Baw. It is her. Next, you will have aliens stopping the search. Or did you have a link to them stopping the search dogs. for GP, because they found a different person?

??? It's not against the law to let your son come and go from your house while being a person of interest...

Just jumping in here but man...its got to be something rough. That FBI guy seemed to be holding back a lot of emotion delivering the news. While these cases are always emotional for all involved, you usually don't get that from seasoned law enforcement publically.

Probably aiding and embedding a known fugitive.

Maybe it shows my age and how I was raised but my parents would have whooped my arse if I showed up without her and if my dad would have suspected foul play he would have beaten a confession out of me himself and made me turn myself in.

The focus now is on the body they found obviously, but I just saw an article posted a few hours ago that they were seen in a store in Idaho in August 25th or 26th. According to the article, the owner of a store in Victor, ID saw them and talked to them. They seemed happy, and they were still engaged.
Alive and Happy
So it seems that if he killed her out there, it had to have happened on June 27th-30th. To get back to Florida on September 1st, I don’t see anyway he could have left later than August 30th. Looking at the calendar, the 27th-30th were the weekend. I would think that there would be more visitors on the weekend, making it even harder and riskier to hide or move a body. And if he killed her and hid her in the van, you would think that the FBI would have found some kind of sign of it since they seized and searched the van. So if he killed her, did he hide the body where they camped? If so you would think they would have found the body. Did he do it on one of their hikes and he just left her there or pushed her over the side of a cliff. I don’t think he would have gone out on a hike with her with a shovel slung over his shoulder. Or did he go back there later to try to dispose of it? It also seems possible that they decided to leave and come home a month early. Maybe they were running out of money. Or just weren’t having fun anymore. Speaking of money, what did they do for it? Sure; the van life is surely cheaper than staying in a 5 star resort every night. But they still had to have money for fuel, food, etc. And it seems she stayed in a hotel in SLC for a week, and he bought a plane ticket back and forth. Had they just saved up? Neither seem to have been raking in big bucks before they left based on social media. Were the parents paying for it? Is it possible either one of them might have been involved with something not 100% legal? Like being an unlicensed pharmaceutical rep? Is that why he went back to Florida in the middle of the trip? Just more questions. The way this has gone, I would fully expect the FBI announcement to just make things even more confusion.
Disregard most of this; between when I started this and hit submit a lot happened with them finding the body.

He wasn't a fugitive, he was never wanted. What is so hard to understand about that?

They still haven't committed a crime. Again, this isn't East Germany and the Stasi.

It's going to depend on how it went down. If they purposely waiting three days to report him as missing so they could give him time to run, that could be an issue but likely hard to prove.

But seriously, I dunno how people get affected by this shite. Much worse happening out there ona daily basis and covered and not covered by the media.

The term is “aiding and abetting”.
Brian is not a fugitive at this time. He’s a “person of interest”. He doesn’t have any responsibility legally to speak with investigators and his parents certainly do not have a legal obligation to make him.

Seems pretty crazy that after a few weeks there is even a body left. I’d have thought animals would have picked it clean by now in that area

Absolutely, and there’s literally 1000s of instances every day that prove that a vast majority of the time innocent people give a statement are not bothered by the police or media.

So BL is not a suspect until the body is 100% confirmed to be GP?
