ughhhh what do I do

Long story short because I know you guys have a short attention span. My wife and I live alone, love the freedom of no kids, being able to do what we want when we want. My niece just graduated high school and is in a not so great situation living with my sister (not her real mother) and also living in an even horrible town of Jennings, I know you guys say the thread about Death on the Bayou the Jennings 8.
I feel like my sister who has passed (her mother) would kick my butt if she were alive if I didn't take her in and help her. Just don't want to lose my freedom.
Man up and stop being a pussy and let her move in or try to help her in other ways?

She's not a toddler, can you not help her out and still do what you want? I would imagine a high school graduate can handle wiping her on arse and making her own sandwhich if you leave for a few days.

Family is all you have. I would sit down with her and set some ground rules (upfront) then set some goals as to what needs to happen and when so she can eventually become independent and move out on her own.

What is her plan? Sounds like this could be a short-term thing you could do to help her out until she goes to school or gets a job and moves out on her own. You could give her a timeline.

You have this all in the correct order.
1. Man up and stop....
2. Let her move in.
3. THEN try to help her in other ways. She needs the security of having someone on her side and who is willing to allow actions to speak. Once this is done, THEN y'all can begin discussions on what comes next and how she proceeds with her life and subsequent independence thereafter.

Take her in and put her in some kind of community college. End goal, hopefully she turns her life around and can afford her own place.
