Has anyone been through the Atlanta airport this week and can tell me how long it took you to get through TSA? I'm hearing reports of 80-90 minutes with pre check.

It’s the busiest airport in the world. I would expect longer than usual times.

You should already be there.

Timing is everything. I have been thru Houston Hobby and no one was in line. And, I have been though Houston Hobby and waiting 35 mins in TSA Pre Check .

This was on their twitter yesterday:

#ATL is experiencing longer than usual wait times during peak travel. Please plan ahead and give yourself 3 hours to clear security

At least there's a lot to do in the Atlanta airport. Plus there's a ton of hot women to look at.

Max wait times at the New Orleans airport remain below 25 minutes for both the regular and PreCheck security lines even as the federal government shutdown drags on.
On Monday (Jan. 14), the maximum wait time for travelers going through security at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport topped out at 19 minutes, according to the latest information released by the Transportation Security Administration. Travelers with TSA PreCheck waited a maximum of 4 minutes.
In general, wait times at airports across the country were relatively modest, with one exception – Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Wait times there topped out at 88 minutes for regular travelers and 55 minutes for those with PreCheck, according to the TSA data. Video of travelers waiting in Atlanta’s snaking security lines was widely circulated on social media on Monday.

I saw a video of the lines yesterday. It was significantly sped up and still took several minutes to get to the end of the lines. At a glance from that video I think 80-90min is generous.

The TSA is the most useless bunch of gov’t goons out there.

If you're pre-check, expect an hour. But it all depends on your flight time obviously

The international terminal always had little to no line for security. As long as you aren't checking a bag you can go through that side. You may want to check into as an option.

Further, most of the accounts today indicated security lines are essentially back to normal at ATL.

yesterday morning was brutal according to all the news reports. but that is also one of the busiest times with everyone flying out for the week. I would imagine Thursday afternoon will be bad as well with that also being a heavy travel day. As others have said a lot will depend on what day and time you are flying.

Monday morning is always a mess in ATL with the consultant/sales traffic out of town.
