If the courts would free Brittany Pears of her conservatorship the hurricanes would stop

Since you're here, check out the outflow boundary on this storm South of Des Moines last night. Pretty substantial boundary that showed up clearly on Velocity.

I didn't get it all in frame, but it stretched a ways farther. Coming off of that one cell was cool to see.

Nice shot. Iowa has been productive this week.

Lovely hodos with bitching instability producing great structure.

This shite starts in Ghana, and comes through Sierra Leone. The Destroya must have pissed them off in Ghana, during her trips there for free food.

A tropical wave is expected to move off the coast of Africa overnight and on Thursday. Some development is possible through early next week while this system moves westward across the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.

Isn’t it early for us to see something originate from that area?

Yes.

There's typically dust from the Sahara, higher shear overall in the early season, and the ocean temps still aren't all that warm.

This wave has being strong from the start working for it, and also unusually not hostile conditions on the trip to the Antilles. Which isn't to say expect much development in the near term but it has unusually good odds of development for this time of year and the location.
