It has been nasty here all day.
Same on Amelia Island. Got pretty intense for about an hour and a half, more than I was expecting.

Wind gust of 81 mph was observed at Calibogue Sound at 1113 PM. Strong winds up to 80 mph will be possible along the coast northeast into Hilton Head and possibly further northeast up the coast. #chswx

Look at it flexing.
And drowning coastal TX down at the left.
ETA: The hodos over SC tonight are nasty. Big increase in speed and some turn with height in the low levels. Tornados that spin up probably won't be fricking around, though short lived.

The NWS Emergency Tornado Alert for Charleston woke me up about 20 minutes ago.
A serious burst of wind threw shite around in my yard and we lost power for a little bit. Luckily nothing more serious as of now. Now I’m wide awake and have to be up in 2 hours.
