Insurance companies now scrambling to get this depression named before it gets absorbed by the cold front.

Aw, c'mon. We just about go through the entire hurricane season without anything to speak of, and then a week before Halloween this rainmaker comes along.

weather only shows a 10% chance of rain by kickoff

It'll probably be windy and the turf soupy

The front incoming I think will give the circulation a little kick to maybe get it to 40 as it transitions to post tropical.

Depends on how fast it's out of here. Right now it looks to be pushing out of the area during the morning. Doubt the wind will be much of an issue except for the fans getting a little chilly. Turf drains great in TS, so that should be fine.

Exactly!

There is no doubt in my mind the reason we now have named winter storms is 100% a creation of insurance companies

Nope. That was the invention of the Weather Channel and their attempt to stay "relevant". The NWS doesn't recognize naming winter storms.

Also...

Don't like that track at all.

The NHC/NWS do the official naming of storms. The Weather Channel just named them for ratings but that wouldn't count as a named storm for insurance purposes.
