True. I just looked it up. There was Hilda, a cat 4, but the other October storms were minimal. For some reason I was thinking we had a few cat 3/4’s in October in history.

Most of the worst ones came in September, by far.

That’s October 4th and the EURO shows this thing hitting October 2.

It would be awesome to be out of power and need blankets at night and chainsawing my way through my yard in 60 degree, low humidity, breezy conditions, though.

That would be glorious but the GFS has been trash lately and keeps showing phantom cold fronts in the long range. One thing the GFS might get right is that it keeps this system weak and eventually kills it off. However, the NHC is showing a strengthening system about to make the turn. The NHC hss been lights out so far this season.

Forgot a major item ...... hit the STM and get money before storm hits and power is gone. Also pick up canned meat.

Both early models keep it weak. Let’s hope it stays that way

In that satellite loop on the first page- it looks like it has completely dissipated. . . .

Are you sure you're looking at the right storm?

Yeah, Karen- in the extreme SE Caribbean., lower part of the screen. The storm to the north is Jerry- and it’s heading out to sea.
