Stormcastforum post

quote:

This mornings 0Z Euro run, brings Karen into the Gulf crossing the tip of Florida around the 1 st. Of October, moving to the Texas coast, around the 3rd as a strengthening storm it’s showing a 977 mb low just south of the Louisiana west coast at that time, gfs is hinting at it, so is the icon. We need to watch this one.

Of course I’m supposed to be flying out of Houston on the 3rd

Good thing is that any predictions or models are never that accurate thus far out.

...GAME OVER... ...MARIO BECOMES A REMNANT LOW...

Off topic but the NHC does have some humor every now and then. This was in the Pacific anyway.

Right now it's a mess. NHC still saying it will be a strong enough storm as it moves north so they seem to be more in line with Euro right now.

NHC has more tools so I would just trust their forecast right now.

Noting to see here.......... It seems that all these storms are forming out in the Atlantic and have been given the boot from systems coming across the country and sweep them off to sea, Which is a great sign............. Now the storm that affected Texas and southwest LA, is a different story......

Page 4, on the afternoon of Monday, Sep 23rd will always be remembered as the day we realized that somebody was going to get fricked. I hope it's those Bama bastards, since they have been begging for it.

Now that's funny. Debatable, but still funny.

If Karen even survives the Caribbean which right now is very questionable, the GFS and Euro kill it off out in the Atlantic after it gets blocked by the giant forecasted high that apparently shears it down to nothing. The remnants do make it to the FL straits and there is always a possibility that something happens with it after that point. Still looking like whatever is left makes it to the gulf if it doesn't dissipate well before then. there are several places along the way that could very well happen.

GFS was showing a cold front sweeping through in the run yesterday but sadly, GFS sucks balls right now. I know that up north in canada they have projected snow already which I wish we could get some of that cold arctic air down here even if just for a few days.
