I wonder what our astute WAFB Facebook commenter colleagues are saying

I'm good with 35. I have no confidence that he'll behave in prison and get paroled. He's an emotionally volatile piece of shite. He's more likely to get into more trouble in prison and get time tacked on than to get out early.

Wonder if his family will put any of that 600k GoFundMe money on his books?

I think at the end of the day this is fair.
I wouldn't go that far. AM is dead forever, this kid should have gotten 50 years minimum before chance of parole.

17.5 years in TDC is no joke. I used to do counseling and have a few family members go through there. It won't be a cakewalk. Definitely going to have to pay for protection.

You give a second chance to someone who stole food because they were hungry.
You give a second chance to someone who has a drug addiction and is trying to straighten their life out.
You don't give a second chance to someone who stabs someone in the fricking heart and kills them for no fricking reason at all other than "disrespek"

Kid could've probably gotten 20-25 years in a plea deal.

I doubt there will be any money left after the wrongful death suit.

I said that since KA wouldn't listen and AM couldn't get him to leave, that an adult should have been summoned or there should be adult chaperone.
Dumbest shite in this entire thread. Karmelo made the choice to enter the tent. Karmelo made the choice to stay and be confrontational. Karmelo refused to leave.
Who was supposed to summon someone and why is it that persons fault that Karmelo caused this entire murder event to occur?
C’mon. Karmelo decided to be a murderer.
Now he can sit in prison for 35 years . Maybe he will summon a guard there instead of being confrontational.

The seemingly light sentence appeases the activist crowd after a guilty verdict such that they vacate from our pristine, affluent neighborhood and this story quickly dissipates from the public eye as a result....
There is your mercy, World. From our community to your news feed.
ETA: Had to look up how to spell dissipate.

As a Christian, I cannot agree with your POV.
I hope you can find peace from the hate in your heart.

Is there a strong Aryan Brotherhood presence handing out justice in Texas State prisons?

I do think the odds are low he gets early parole, but why I think that will shatter the rape fantasies being posted

I reckon that would start a war in prisons across the US
