Will be out before he is 35.

Plenty of time to lead a productive life and be an example to youth on how one mistake can take everything from you.

Will have to serve at least 50% before parole is considered

So a 35 year sentence... 50% of that is 17.5 years before he becomes eligible for parole

ETA: he'll be 35-36 years old when he comes up for parole for the 1st time

This is where I'm at . Everybody assumes she's a white liberal, I never have. Her posts always have a weird illogical bend to them. Always bringing race into it, and shoehorning race into the discussion, whether it's pertinent or not.

I'm glad somebody asked, maybe we will find out.

Yep, he's 19 now so would be 54 if he serves it all.

36 at minimum before parole is considered.

Why, so Karmelo could have the privilege of shanking a coach?

A 35 year sentence also means the jury voted AGAINST the "heat of passion" stipulation

I think at the end of the day this is fair. Much better than manslaughter or getting off completely.

Yes, he can get out as soon as 17 1/2 years but that’s assuming he’s on his best behavior and doesn’t do anything to extend it. I like the odds of that.
