Holly Beach and Grande Isle are by FAR the trashiest.

Trashy Ranking:

1) Galveston by a country mile.

2) Mississippi beaches

3) Gulf Shores/OB

4) FL panhandle

The best gulf beaches are Clearwater and Sarasota.

Well most of the beaches not in Alabama or Florida are not very pretty.

PCB probably has the worst people during vacation season, but maybe it has gotten some better since it has been rejuvenated.

Grand Isle is pretty fricking nasty IMO. The closer you are to the mouth of the Mississippi the "trashiest" it will be. That includes literally being trashy.

To be fair, we’re more of a coastal community than a beach town...speaking mostly of BSL. Sailing, fishing, river sports, oysters, shrimp...if you’re vacationing on the coast down here for our ‘beaches’...you just didn’t drive far enough.

Agreed, always go 12 miles south of the Coast and hit up Cat, Ship, Horn or Petit Boi Islands

Galveston's water is so fricking nasty the City has signs up telling you how bad it is. It's like swimming in a nasty toilet. All of those ships coming and going dumping their bilge and garbage.

Grande Isle during Tarpon is what I should have said.

I’ve never seen so much trash and I’ve worked in a land fill before.

This is complete bullshite.

Galveston water is dirty because of actual silt kicked up from the Mississippi, neches, trinity, etc.

The islands can be very nice. At times the water can be clear as Destin an not another soul to see for miles.

Crystal Beach, Texas
Or
Holly Beach, Louisiana

No others are even close. Maybe Bolivar, but it’s essentially Crystal Beach

This is pretty much any beach ever. Staph infection rates are higher in Miami Beach and they have crystal clear water.
