My wife works and we split the bills/housework about 50/50. I like it.

My wife is the primary bread winner. I guess I am a trade husband.

Wife is a sahm and takes care of the home and I am the protector/provider. So I guess that’s “trad,” but really it just makes sense.

Your thinking of a Trans wife. They steal your dick for themselves.

I confirmed with the family biographer and she was definitely a kidney stealing Triad.

I don’t think there was any of that, but I really don’t know. I also don’t care today.

It’s a great place to be. Considering the circumstances.

My wife went back to school and got her Master's degree and now makes more than I do. I think she'd go nuts not having a career and just staying home.

Not even close. She tours in a band and works as a session musician / DJ. As strongly independent and "equal" as they come.

Musicians are almost a separate category as there is really no way to be traditional and successful. Also, women musicians are 3/4 notches up the attraction scale for most men. Coveted.

It seems like a lot of trad wife types are in charge of the family and social media.

Checking in. Im the sole breadwinner. I handle outside chores. She nurtures the kids, takes care of the household. We split cooking because I enjoy cooking.

It fits our personalities and feels natural to us. Im the provider, she nurtures.

No regrets from either of us.

That said, we do not judge anyone who does life differently.

My wife primarily takes care of the house but I cook and clean the kitchen several nights a week.

I handle all of our finances.

Am I in the minority?

Sounds about right, though we're fairly close in salary range, so I don't really think either of us is the 'bread winner'. I do all the cooking/shopping, we all do our own laundry (kids included), I keep up with the budget/expenses.

The trad wife movement is based on the belief that men and women should assume “traditional” gender roles, with women caring for the house and children, and men providing financially and managing most decisions for the family.

Initially, yes. Shock. Anger. Resentment. Hurt.

Today, no. Time helps heal.

It's mostly a contradiction in terms. Not that I'm against traditionalism or traditional M/F relationships/roles, but the "trad wife movement" is an online influencer movement and inherently "not trad"

This nails it.

My wife works and pulls in good money. She did the SAHM thing for a few years and started her side business which transitioned to owning her own business. That gives us a lot of flexibility as I carry the job with benefits (health insurance etc) for our family. She has the flexible hrs for kids’ stuff.

My wife is an attorney who makes slightly less than I do. I do most of the cooking and yard work. She does the cleaning and handles tedious stuff like scheduling the kids' routines and whatnot.

She gets the better end of the deal, but life ain't a zero-sum game.
