Buick and Chevy being remotely high on the list is surprising. Must have paid extra.
Yeah, seems likely.

Honda is not what they were 10 years ago.
The CRV and Pilot engines blowing up has hurt them considerably.
I have a Honda CRV and it has been simply trouble free for 3 years. I expect no less.

Hyundai has collapsed as a brand. It used to be top 5, but now it’s below average.
I'm pretty sure they retired the engines that were the subject of lawsuits in recent years, and Consumer Reports still has them slotted ahead of Buick and Chevy.
It's hard to conclude much out of any ranking since each source uses different methodologies, and different models/engines perform better than others, etc. Every owner of every brand has a different experience.
The only brand that consistently appears to be a shite box every year is Chrysler.

3) they do a poor job of ranking issues, meaning Car Play being weird and annoying is ranked similarly to a transmission falling out of the car on the highway.
Infiniti got absolutely killed on software glitches (mainly with Apple Carplay) and the clocks resetting to +6 hours ahead and locking the operator out from being able to manually set the clock. This only applied to vehicles without navigation, which sets the clock by GPS and had no clock issues. Took multiple software update attempts to fix it also. (Ridiculous for something that simple).
Mechanically, still pretty sound, but that doesn't matter to the whiny entitled masses who cannot instantly connect to their phone upon entering the car.

Good for you, but 3 years is hardly a test of long term reliability.
Come back at 150k-200k and report the repairs beyond maintenance...

Any study that has Jeep above average, disregard.

Mines in the middle I’m good with that

3yr @36K miles is far from determining long term reliability.
See how they do at 5yr/100K mi

Buick has been consistently one of the top spots on the list since the early 1990's.

Check to JD Power didn’t clear.

Certainly call the list in to question when the their is such a discrepancy between Chevy and GMC despite them being almost identical vehicles

Land Rover and Ford are almost always bottom of the barrel.

What the hell does Apple CarPlay have to do with the dependabiy of a vehicle?

Bought it with 44k in 2017. I can put some miles down

I’ve gone through a number of Volvos and can tell you the current two are absolute dog shite.
I had a prior gen volvo xc60 and it was by far the most problematic vehicle ive ever owned.
thankfully, everything was relatively minor and under warranty, but that thing was at the dealership monthly.

It all depends on how you weight individual metrics. I mentioned Consumer Reports on the first page and one good thing about them is they list IIRC 17 different areas for trouble spots in their overall reliability ranking. This allows you to see what areas are actually pulling down the reliability rating of a specific model. It may be that infotainment, body trim/paint, body hardware, and/or noise and leaks are the only areas of real concern. It is unlikely any of those would leave you stranded and you might prefer a car that has no issues with major/minor engine or transmission problems but it plagued with a glitchy infotainment system. One of the most reliable cars on the road the Lexus ES had less than steller years in 2020 and 2021 where the 2020 had powertrain issues and the 2021 resolved those but had issues in the paint/trim body hardware and noise/leak categories. They had the same overall reliability score but I will take the 2021s issues over the 2020 powertrain issues every time.

Chevy definitely paid for a good review here.
