dude kids will grab a hand full of candy w/you sitting right there w/the bucket all as their parents are telling them to take just one.

leaving the dish out unattended is just begging for a group of them to take the entire thing.

Yeah everyone does trunk or treat with the little and the other kids all go to the areas known for going all out. In my area only 1 in 5 may have candy. Maybe less. Go to Southlake or Gabriel and every house has candy.

I don’t know why you had that problem. Once we got the vans to River Ranch, “our” kids didn't run across any out of stock situations.

Royalty Row still gives out the full size premium candy bars which we enjoyed all the way back to Badon Ruje.

How do you know they’re tourist trick or treaters?
You might not be ready for the explanation.

It was a simple question.

We were out for 1.5 hrs trick or treating, visiting with neighbors, playing with the kids etc. We still had half a bowl. We’re civilized

Same. In fact, wife bought too much as usual, so we were handing out handfulls knowing it was the only way to get rid of it all. Poured it in a bowl and on a table when we made our rounds and was disappointed there was so much left after.

All the cookie-cutter hoods like ours in Ascension Parish get plenty of kids from more rural areas and the poor trailer parks around here.
We embrace it and welcome them.

20 years ago when I lived in Highland Creek it was the same thing. Parents from the Gardere ghetto apartments brought their kids to our neighborhood. It was pretty awesome to make those kids' night of trick or treat knowing the conditions of their own neighborhood.

Most parents who take their kids trick or treating to your nice neighborhood are generally good people raising good kids. Never had a problem at all with 'tourist' trick or treaters.

we live in a nieghborhood that normally gets a lot too and as long as they are behaved, I feel the same way.

what i cant stand is when its a groupd of 15-16 year olds not dressed up just walking around.

we also rent a big jumpy and have hamburgers and hot dogs in our nieghborhood park. Im cool with whomever coming but as teenagers....dont go get in the jumpy and start knocking little kids down.

also dont come at 930 and get mad when everythign is shutdown.

I have seen all of the above happen.

but i love it when they are with parents. especially when its both parents. i love making their day and hoping they see the other side of things.

last night we didnt have a lot of tourist that were not invited by families living in there. was nice but kind of boring too.

They are members of a different demographic group than the inhabitants of the neighborhood.

They probably don't do as well in poor hoods. Its just candy, but it might be the best thing to happen to that kid all week.
