I took my kid to trick or treat in the neighborhood. My first time going in our area since kid is just 2. As I walked on our street which is off of hundred oaks btw, I noticed a lot of houses had their lights off even though they had Halloween decorations. So we made our rounds and headed back at out house arriving 25 yards of my lawn 650pm. I noticed a group of 6 of 7 running in and out of my porch. I walked to the front door, the tray of 3 bags of candy were gone.

I went inside and looked at the security camera. I saw 5 groups of normal kids come and get their candy. Then I saw the last group. I heard on the audio “hurry”, “you greedy”, “move”. So before 7pm, all the candies are gone and the kids come afterward are out of luck. Now I know why other houses turn their lights off.

Only schmucks leave a tray of candy unattended with a goofy sign that says “Take only three” or whatever.

Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Yeah, there's shitty kids and shitty parents, but they aren't all bad. Don't let the bad ones kill your vibe.

Did you report to Ryno so he could properly assess, document and issue a citation?

Pro-Tip:

One of the parents stays home to administer the candy. Just because your wife wants instagram pics is no reason to leave the homestead empty on Halloween.

You're a fricking retard for putting all 3 bags of candy out knowing you were going to be back home to hand out candy by 7pm. Shoulda put 1.5 bags out.

Your wife must be the bread-winner to live off Hundred Oaks b/c you're kinda dumb.

I don't mind as long as they are well behaved. We get a lot of kids from apartments in the area. Should they just not get to do Halloween because their parents aren't homeowners? Seems kinda cruel. But we hand out the candy.

Btw, who takes a 2 year old out trick or treating for an hour? You go to 4-5 houses, people you know, and that’s it.

You took the 2 year old out for the same reason those kids stole your candy, you are getting free candy. The candy you got isn’t for your 2yo, you and the wife gonna eat that shite.
When I was a kid and someone left a bowl on the porch, we took it all, unless the people in front of us did it.

All the cookie-cutter hoods like ours in Ascension Parish get plenty of kids from more rural areas and the poor trailer parks around here.
We embrace it and welcome them.

20 years ago when I lived in Highland Creek it was the same thing. Parents from the Gardere ghetto apartments brought their kids to our neighborhood. It was pretty awesome to make those kids' night of trick or treat knowing the conditions of their own neighborhood.

Most parents who take their kids trick or treating to your nice neighborhood are generally good people raising good kids. Never had a problem at all with 'tourist' trick or treaters.

You might not be ready for the explanation.

We've never had any problems with the kids who visit the neighborhood on Halloween. They cost me about $100 in candy but that's fine.
