It's interesting that they always seem to be dog cussing people. You never hear of people with Tourrette's randomly shouting how much they love someone.

I think it's only 1 in 10 who have that blurt out bad shite flavor. It sounds like it triggers the part of the brain that just says the worst shite at the worst times. If the word is heard, and there's a bad time to say it, that's when the brain says "say that shite now." It sounds like it's beyond a lack of filter.

We all know very bad things we COULD say, even if that isn't our feelings, and we don't say them. Their brain blurts that out

This story is both sad and hilarious. People out in Facebook world are losing their minds over it. Either complete ignorance of this disease, severe insecurity, whatever, but they want this guy canceled and in some cases ended.

A lot are saying that these were his intrusive thoughts. Again, sheer stupidity.

Why is it that the tourette's people all shout vulgar stuff.

They never shout "hot wheels" or "jersey mikes!"

I have witnessed TS in action and I tell you that it is surprising and shocking but reveals some words or phrases others may be thinking but don’t yell out. With TS, the floodgate opens and stays open.

Well no shite. The word is glorified and celebrated in pop culture. Of course he's heard it, we all have. It doesn't mean he's intentionally spewing hate.

Before you typed this dumb shite perhaps you could have done a quick Google search and spent 5 minutes reading up on it.

You should not be able to vote in any election.

The best example of this lunacy was when a reporter named Robert Lee was banned from a reporting a story on MLK Day because his name was Robert Lee and it might offend some of the people celebrating.

Robert Lee is Asian.

Sorry, I mis-remembered the event:

quote:

In August 2017, ESPN reassigned an Asian-American college football broadcaster named Robert Lee from calling a University of Virginia (UVA) game in Charlottesville. The decision was made because he shared the same name as the Confederate General Robert E. Lee, whose statue was the center of violent white supremacist protests in Charlottesville that month.

Still ridiculous...

The person you are replying to is an idiot. A simple Google search by him would have been wise before typing this dumb shite.

I'm batting a thousand with the folks I have known with it. One guy would yell out "Ninja!". I knew what he meant.

Foxx commented below a post about the incident on social media, saying, “Unacceptable” and “Nah he meant that shite”.

Of course that's Jamie Foxx's take on it. Isn't he known to be pretty racist in his own right (and sort of an a-hole in general)?

I dated a girl with Tourette's in college, but she didn't have the "blurt offensive shite in public" kind. Hers was just a little noise, almost like a light sneeze. After a while I didn't even notice it anymore. But it was completely involuntary, she had no control over it. I can't imagine how much it sucks for people who have the blurt out loud kind. That has to be a pretty miserable life socially.

Why does Tourette's seem to only include curse words and derogatory words?

You never hear someone with TS say "The sun is bright!" or "I love massages!"

Its a word. Who gives a shite. I wouldn't call someone that but its a word. The power it has is ridiculous.
