So, at an event to promote Tourette's Syndrome
BAFTA is basically the british equivalent of the Golden Globes, so no

It's interesting that they always seem to be dog cussing people. You never hear of people with Tourrette's randomly shouting how much they love someone.
This is my point I didn't make very well but you got it. There are a few dumbasses that responded that didnt.

My opinion is that if you have Tourette’s and are known to blurt out curse and offensive words, you should prolly stay home.
Exactly. Why not toss him out the moment he had his first outburst or put him in a sound room? Afraid to offend someone's feelings?

No, you said this
That's why you got those responses. You're trying to paint him as racist because the word crossed his mind. Of course it did at point in his 50 plus years of being alive, same as the rest of us. But if you took a few seconds to read about the disease, you'd understand why.

Sounds a little Cartman-esque with how on point his tics are

Dude’s timing is flawless. Shouts right during the planned pause. Hmm

I meant the film the Tourettes guy was there for was to promote Tourettes - and he succeeded in promoting it, with worldwide attention.

How could anyone possibly read what you wrote and think that was your point?

Fair enough, you admit it to be a dumbass post at least

I read where he was receiving an MBE from the queen and yelled "frick the queen! I have a bomb!" It's got to be a terrible illness to live with, but that's some objectively funny shite
Posted on 2/23/26 at 3:53 pm to Ingeniero
Perhaps this was already addressed, but I just saw where the BAFTA awards were not live and there was a two-hour window where this could've been edited out.
Weird.
Weird.

Imagine what someone that is just an a-hole could use it for by claiming they have it
(like Eric Cartman did)

If you're not mature enough to handle bad words that are part of someone's medical issue, maybe you're the one who should stay home.
People with Tourettes repeat what they've heard. If black people don't want people with Tourettes shouting the N word, maybe they shouldn't use it at all, either.

There have been cases of deaf people who compulsively sign obscene words and phrases. I find the whole phenomenon bizarrely fascinating.

Why is it that the tourette's people all shout vulgar stuff.
They never shout "hot wheels" or "jersey mikes!"

Thomas Sowell said it best:

I find it hard to believe these vocalizations don't reflect their thoughts. I know they're involuntary but its had to have crossed their minds at some point. Or they've heard it.
Tourette’s literally makes you yell the shite you DONT want to say. It’s literally uncontrollable verbalized intrusive thoughts. It’s also exacerbated by stressful situations where you really don’t want to do it. So the poor guy sees black people, is stressed, subconsciously thinks what the worst thing to blurt out would be, doesn’t want to, and his tick made him.
Being offended this is so ironic as it shows that his movie was bullshite and he isn’t accepted and black people are so sensitive they get offended by a known condition with no ill intent.
