I’ve never seen this much rain in Madisonville. No end in sight for the next 2 hours.
Tornado tried to spin up just north of our neighborhood earlier but cycled and touched down on 1085 near I-12. That was an extremely creepy 3 minutes watching that shite spin hoping it wouldn’t form.

Passed directly over my house. Was very windy but nothing terrible. Turned out to just be circulation, no tornado

Lots of flooding in Bedico and Madisonville. Water over 22 in Bedico. My cousin off of Oak Park drive between 22 and Brewster has water in his house

I left town today at 3pm for an extended weekend on Lake Darbonne. My family is home. Everyone is saying we are going to flood tonight. Water is the highest it has ever been in our neighborhood.

The problem in that area around 1085, I-12, Brewster is that land is so flat the water has no where to drain to.

My cousin lives on Helen drive off of oak park and he has water in his entire house. Never happened before.

We were at 8” prior to the last 2 hours. Gotta be between 11-12” or more now west of downtown Madisonville

It has been a wall of torrential rain. The pond behind my home is separated from a creek (Mile Branch) by a "levee" that is 7 feet above the level of the pond. There is only about 2 feet of that 7 left keeping them from becoming connected.
Luckily, the water hasn't reached my yard, plus my home is 4 feet off of the ground. My garage, however, is only about 5 feet away from the ever-growing ditch overflow.
This shite is crazy.

My good buddy lives in, I think it’s called Tallow Creek? Near the West St Tammany YMCA. Been trying to call him and his wife for last few hours, should I be worried?
