ETA he is on one now.

When is this storm forecasted to hit Mandeville/Covington? Like before dawn on Sunday or midday?
I sorry for the dumb question, but I've been out of the loop and don't have cable or an antenna.

New watch coming for a large portion of Texas
Mesoscale Discussion 0338
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
0537 PM CDT Sat Apr 11 2020
Areas affected...portions of the TX Panhandle and South Plains east
into southwestern OK/northern and central TX
Concerning...Tornado Watch 100...
Valid 112237Z - 120030Z
The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 100 continues.
SUMMARY...Severe risk -- including potential for a couple of
tornadoes -- continues, and will expand gradually eastward with
time. A new WW will likely be needed to include North Texas in the
next hour or so.
DISCUSSION...Latest radar loop shows storms gradually increasing in
coverage east of a Texas Panhandle/South Plains dryline, within a
moist/moderately unstable environment. Shear remains favorable for
organized/rotating storms, with moderately strong mid-level
west-southwesterlies atop southerly low-level flow that will
gradually increase this evening.
Storms are increasing in intensity at this time in southeast
portions of the Texas Panhandle, where large hail potential is
evident in the short term. Meanwhile, a few supercell storms are
moving eastward across western North Texas north/northwest of
Abilene, along with attendant severe risk. With these storms
beginning to approach eastern fringes of the watch, a new WW will
likely be needed east of the existing one -- as convection likely
increases in coverage over the next several hours.

We need to quarantine that weather coming from Texas.

get State Police on the border and don't let it cross just like Texas is doing to Louisiana

Tomorrow is really going to be one of those days that things come down to the small mesoscale features. If things work out perfectly, this could be a big event. On the flip side, those small features may not come together enough to produce a big event. It’s a difficult forecast for the meteorologists.

Have a lot of cold air behind this darn late season front...calling for overnight lows of mid-30s for three consecutive evenings where we are

Yea, nothing so far today has cleared anything up for tomorrow. Storm evolution over Texas tonight will be the main driver. I would say that there is more than enough uncertainty at this point to probably prevent any SPC upgrades overnight but what do I know
Tough call for sure.
