Friday waited 15 minutes for two drinks. That was to even get acknowledged. Got food in about 30-45 minutes and then waited a total of about 1.5hrs for a bay. Food with a couple drinks cost $~60. Bag with two drinks ~$70.

My neighbors went Saturday morning and said they had fun. It's a good thing for BR. It's a midsized market college town/state capital. I don't get all the hate some have about positive things happening in the area
Answer - there are a lot of miserable fricks that post on this site.

No troll, but I didn’t see the need to wait two hours to hit a handful of balls AND pay a large sum of money to do so.
I kindly explained how most driving ranges worked, and even suggested during off times they have a trial period for the kids before being forced to commit to hourly charges. I don’t point out problems without solutions. They were just refused to even attempt to find a fix. I even brought a set of clubs for them to use so we shouldn’t be forced to pay whatever the part of the price was to use their clubs. Very unreasonable. The manager couldn’t even give me an itemization of the hourly rate and how each part comprised it’s sum.
A lot of people obviously enjoy their model. I however will not be back.
You do realize you're not simply paying to hit golf balls, correct? You're paying for the seating, climate control, TV's, servers, gps balls, etc. The fact that you neglect all of that in your business model analysis is mind boggling.
If it's a 4 hour wait with everyone paying for time, could you imagine the wait if you just could sit around while people's kids hit balls one by one?
Also, when I don't like someone's business model I just decide not to go there. Can't imagine the sense of entitlement to go tell some manager that my opinion on their business model is better than their current one that's proven quite popular.

I truly believe that as far as golfers go, the intrigue will die off with them.
Some will still go but it’s gonna be much more of a random folks and the people that play a couple times a year on actual courses.
It’s just gonna be more of a tailgating type experience where guys and girls can hang out and drink and play a game all at the same time.

We need an instagram model to show off there.

Baton Rouge could get a fricking Galleria with every store and new restaurant you could imagine inside and it still wouldn’t be cool enough to the OT.
mega malls filled with chain restaurants aren’t what makes cities cool in the year 2019 hope that helps

I mean, that's what Top Golf already is and always has been. It's never been marketed to serious golfers.

It hasn't been this from the beginning?
As said, its like a modern day bowling alley. Its for families early in the day and then date night type of things after that.
Its something to do while you eat and drink.

I'm convinced a lot of posters here have never left Baton Rouge

Tried to go but they wanted me to pay for a whole hour. I was just going to let the kids hit a couple balls each but they were dicks. Pay or else. To kids!!!!!
I will NOT be back.
Also, discussed with the manager how a driving range works with price examples, etc. buying a small or mini bucket vs paying for whole hours. He had no rebuttal.
You probably finish your entire plate at a restaurant too before telling them it was awful and you'd like a refund.

And when she laughed thinking it was the typical "old man" joke about it being bad food, he reported her to her mgr wanting her fired for laughing at him instead of taking him seriously.

I'll be honest this part of his story (or troll) cracks me up. Im just imagining the mgrs face as he just stared at him with the "are you done yet? Im busy it's opening wknd" look. This poster left thinking "I got 'em good" Farva style while he made the "top 10 customer fails of the night" over late night drinks with his crew. Ha

It really is interesting how people judge a place like this on an opening wknd. Take it in, and dont be so hard. it's busy, so it may take so longer wait times. As long as you are seeing them working, and trying give it time. now if the food was just bad from a "dont care for home cut fries or their buffalo sauce wasnt hot enough" kind of thing then thats different. But not ever giving it chance cause they had a 4hr wait when you rolled up during peak hrs, and saw the lot packed with fields being parked in is just baffling to me.

Well, the ones in Houston and Dallas are still pretty fricking cool. But I guess I’m just a basic white male that doesn’t know what’s cool in 2019.
What would be cool enough for you people?

These are the same people that say Atlanta & Houston are shite holes that are full of boring strip malls. Like dude sorry the people you go to visit there suck and don’t branch out to explore the entire metro more than their suburb.

The times I have been to Top Golf never had a fee for clubs. Each bay had their own 15-20 choices. I am a left and had to speci request and never paid.
This is why I don't think you went and it's a troll. But the chance it's not. Please allow your kids to venture outside the city and state, allow them to read and discover things on their own and form their own opinion on matters

I went out Friday afternoon for several hours, will go again. Some are never happy. Just don’t go, more for us that enjoyed the experience
