I'm not sure it'll ever be worth more than all hype.

Besides Birmingham this is really their first location in a market like this.

My daughter and her boyfriend go to one in Houston and they love it. Glad Baton Rouge has one now.

They have been here in Huntsville for about a year now.
Still getting busy weekends but the hype among golfers has waned significantly.
It's more like taking kids bowling.

Mingo—there are three in DFW area and they all do very well.

We got there at 3:00 PM Saturday and it was an hour and a half wait. The food and service was better than I expected for the opening weekend. Everything went smooth and we had a great time. When we left at 6 people were parking in the empty field across the street. It's a great addition for Baton Rouge.

Baton Rouge could get a fricking Galleria with every store and new restaurant you could imagine inside and it still wouldn’t be cool enough to the OT.
It would be trashed on this site daily. BR will never stack up favorably to big markets like Houston, Phoenix or Atlanta but neither does Little Rock or Birmingham.

Service is top notch...food is ok....2 hours "playing golf" gets boring quick....left about 8pm Friday when the area HS seniors where walking in.
Decent talent in there...MILFS/Chicks, etc. servers are not Twin Peaks material at all.

I learned this weekend Top Golf built it and sold it to a group of investors before it opened. Smart move as I'm not sure it'll ever be worth more than all hype.
You realize how common this is across all industries, right?

Yes, but Top Golf owns most, if not all, of their other locations. I wasn't aware that they franchised them or built and immediately sold.

A quick google search shows they sold their Minneapolis location to a REIT based in Phoenix.

Did anyone make one on to the interstate? To me, that is the challenge.

It is possible for a lefty that really tries. However, I assume there are cameras everywhere and anyone that does it, deserves to have the full weight of the law thrown at them. Would be extraordinarily dangerous.

It's impossible.

I am not wishing its demise. Like I said, its just an awkward way to spend time with people. One day it will close though, which was why i was questioning what happens to the pylons

Hoover Alabama which is a nice suburb of Birmingham, has a Galleria mall with a lot of good places surrounding it too.
I wouldn’t lump Birmingham with BR & Little Rock.

Tried to go but they wanted me to pay for a whole hour. I was just going to let the kids hit a couple balls each but they were dicks. Pay or else. To kids!!!!!
I will NOT be back.
Also, discussed with the manager how a driving range works with price examples, etc. buying a small or mini bucket vs paying for whole hours. He had no rebuttal.
