Top Golf Weekend 1 - How'd it end up?

Any of you baws make it out? If so, how was it? I learned this weekend Top Golf built it and sold it to a group of investors before it opened. Smart move as I'm not sure it'll ever be worth more than all hype.

Top Golf is overrated. It's always a goofy experience of how to wait for your turn, take a seat etc when with a group of people. We have two of them in Atlanta and probably go about once a year. I do often wonder what will become of the huge pylons when they eventually go out of business. Not as easy to take them down as the wooden variety.

Didn’t go, but there looked to be a SRO crowd around 11:00am Saturday morning. Not much happening in BR so I’m sure it was packed.
WBRZ reported live from there Friday night. You know, cause that’s all there was going on in this pathetic little town.

What a strange thing to be concerned with

You can not like it, but it's not going anywhere soon. It's a cash cow at every location

I was over on Siegen this morning waiting on a store to open at 10 so I could grab a part I needed. I decided to drive by at 9:40 and it was PACKED. I didn’t expect that on a Sunday morning, opening weekend or not.

Mingo, assuming there is one in the DFW area, does it stay busy?

There's 2 and they both stay packed. The one I've been to the most is a 2 hour wait every single weekend if you don't call ahead.

Usually it takes you more time than this to forget what side of the troll you're on. Must be hitting that Afghani kush a little too hard tonight

Why would WBRZ report live from Erwinville?
Well you said pathetic little town. I assumed you meant Erwinville

My neighbors went Saturday morning and said they had fun. It's a good thing for BR. It's a midsized market college town/state capital. I don't get all the hate some have about positive things happening in the area

Besides Birmingham this is really their first location in a market like this. There's significantly more risk in a mid market with not very good demographics than building in a large metro.
I think it'll do well, but it's much different

Yeah it’s obvious BR doesn’t have it all but it seems like some of you people don’t want it to get new things ever. You want it to stay the same forever?
Nobody made you live in Erwinville lol

The OT: “BR doesn’t have anything new and is a shite town!”
Also The OT: “Top Golf is trashy!”
The walking contradiction that is the OT never ceases to amaze me.

Baton Rouge could get a fricking Galleria with every store and new restaurant you could imagine inside and it still wouldn’t be cool enough to the OT.
