Ladies and gentlemen of the OT. I made a crude and poorly written series of posts the other night suggesting that our country can experience a wave of love and healing if POTUS was to legalize marijuana as an olive branch to the protestors destroying this country.
While the people that supported my statement made much more lucid arguments than I did, I still 100% believe that the solution I proposed is the most expediant method to end this rioting permanently. It removes the element of warfare that the government has used for over 50 years to deprive humans of their life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
I will do my best to never drunk post again. Alcohol is a hell of a drug and has brought me much misfortune. Marijuana has brought peace and tranquility. But one is legal and the other is not.
Can someone with a real voice please get on board with this? We can end this today. What do we have to lose?

So, your previous posts weren’t enough? You have to start another look-at-me thread?
I think the same thing I thought when I responded to your other posts. Legalizing Marijuana would not do jack shite. You’d need to legalize virtually all drugs. If we did that, we’d solve a bunch of the drug war problems but at the cost of greatly increasing actual drug use problems. I’m in favor of it, and I have been for three decades.

I am not drunk or high. Its 7:15 am and I just read trough the sad topics that are posted on this board. It is miserable and the only things being discussed right now are wretched and hateful words. What is your solution oilfield? Please share.

Come one, man. It’s 2020. Posting on a message board is not the way to progress for your cause. You need to start with peaceful protests followed by chaos, stealing, destroying property and violence, followed by celebrities tweeting and posting on Instagram if you want real progress for your cause.
People have been pushing your idea for years. Have you been to NY or California? They pretty much smoke weed openly and it’s legal in Colorado. Pretty sure those places are experiencing this thing along with everyone else.

Treat everyone with respect, don’t judge someone by things they can’t control, and leave people the frick alone.
As for government, reduce the number of laws, reduce the size and reach of government, and educate yourself on the local politics. Who the president is may be the sexier/trendier topic, but who’s on your school board, city council, parish president, local sheriff is a much bigger deal to your every day life
