I have a 35kw that runs my house and have done this before for my neighbors. I wouldn’t expect or accept anything from them other than if I needed a hand with something they would be there to help, which I probably never will since I am pretty self-sufficient with my employees and resources.

Shouldn't he send those to the OT first to decide which pics are worthy of such a great gesture.
You borrow a car, you fill the tank. Use a generator, fill the tank???

He’s not a frikin waiter. Ask him if you can pay him for the power. When he says no, Repay the favor with a nice gift or a good action.

Yup, I know a lot of folks who like being nice to folks and helping out without expecting anything in return. If I'm who they helped I like to give them some good booze or cook them dinner. I try to be somebody folks like to help lol

A nice restaurant gift certificate. $150 to $200

Act like his generator shocked you, then sue him.

I hope you were smart enough to plug in an extention cord with a 3way on the end. Or a power strip. That microwave and TV need juice!

My neighbor let me borrow his generator during Rita when we lost power in Metry. I left him an ice chest full of long necks the next day. He worked for Entergy as a lineman, and was most appreciative when he got home..

See how long you need to mooch off of him before figuring how expensive the bourbon will be.
Just don't go American Beauty on him.
