i havent seen anything official about this, but i have seen a lot of posts about it on the vet-bro social media pages. apparently TK was in the Congo working for some private military contractor (basically mercenary work) and he was shot several times in an ambush. the rumor is that they had to tourniquet his leg to prevent him from bleeding out, and that he may now lose his leg.

for those of you who dont know who Tim Kennedy is, he is an Army Green Beret turned MMA fighter turned back Green Beret turned mercenary who has been called out pretty publicly and credibly for falsifying alot of his military record and experience.

Was it a lot? He did serve for 20 years in the capacity that has been stated. I believe what he lied about was earning a bronze star. Has there been other fabrications?

I appreciate everything IS service mem ers have done anf do today. By the same token, I don't give a damn what happens to mercs.

I served with some great Am3ricans under the flag of the USA. Once you do it gor money or recognition, and not your home, I don't g8v3 a frick. Solfiers of Fortune/mercs are doing it for themselves.

Yeah, I need to see more evidence about this “a lot” part.

I do think it’s credible that he had an issue on the bronze star piece, but as far as I know that was about it.

I don’t know a whole lot about him, but I think his chops for being a certified bad arse are pretty credible.

While this may be true that he was called out for some discrepancies in his stories, throwing yourself into combat in one of the most dangerous places on the planet should shut down any argument of what kind of dude he is. MMA is one thing, mercenary in the Congo is a totally different level of bad assery.

He actually is a pretty good dude. He trains at our sister BJJ school in Austin. I keep up with them on IG and saw he was instructing a class not long ago so damn this is kinda shocking that he got spun up and went to the Congo.

I don’t understand Tim at all. Why would he even have to exaggerate anything. He completed Green Beret training, Ranger School, Sniper School, and was a professional MMA fighter. That’s enough. He doesn’t need to prove himself to anyone.

You serve in Iraq?

Because you were a mercenary there. Only difference is all the money you could have made enriched Dick Cheney instead.

So you're just a dumbass, really.

I don’t think it was a lot of his record. There were a couple of awards and question. Schreck vouches for him pretty heavily and I believe Schreck.
