Fresh nails, likely hair extensions, newer SUV with panoramic sun roof, garage door opener, jewelry, turning down healthy food, some attitude, clearly not missing many meals...never even gets out of her car until she gets home and flashes what she got for the camera.

Good idea in principle.

Bad idea in execution and massively abused.

It all started with this,,, Michele Obama working the "homeless" food shelter.

Ever see a thanksgiving turkey giveaway, they're all pulling up in new vehicles, and there's the people there that actually look like they need it of course.

It's a useless way for people to think they're helping divorced single mothers making minimum wage. Hint: they're not.

Volunteered through work at a food bank one day basically loading boxes of groceries in people as they pulled through the line. I was amazed at the 100s of cars the supposedly ‘need’ the free food. 90% of them drive a nicer car than me and of course, never got out of the car or said thanks.

You can't stop people from being shitty.

You also can't stop helping people who need help by abolishing an entire system.

Really disgusting. I can recall when I was unable to walk in 2016 without severe pain and got hit with a job loss and the flood. Needed a hip replacement with no insurance or Medicare/medicaid at the time. I had $13 for my antidepressants and ramen noodles. This is Fricken BS. I made my way back and I’m feeling so far away from those memories. I’m mindful on how fast circumstances can change and don’t take things for granted. SMH.

You can accomplish both of these things by putting more safeguards in place to make sure that these things are going only to the people that actually need them. But one side has pushed back on any such safeguards to keep their voters fat and happy.

I'm talking about social welfare programs in general. Churches and other private organizations can do whatever they wish with their money.

There are a bunch of food banks down here. I see people on Nextdoor asking for food. They post the list of foodbanks dates and times. Most of the people asking are too lazy to fart. They immediately ask if the food bank will deliver to them, or if somebody will please pick it up and bring it to them. They all are waiting for their SNAP to get approved.

Weird pivot. Catholic food banks are voluntary charities. Nobody is arguing they shouldn’t feed people. In this thread…we’re clearly talking about taxpayer-funded entitlement programs.

She is at a church food bank picking up food.

It says so in the video. Did you even watch or just come in spouting off on a topic that the OP isn't about.
