Instead, I think scientists should work on developing a car that runs on phenolphthalein, a common base indicator used by chemists, and alchemists for that matter as well. After reading an essay by Saunders Overton and speaking to my neighbor, who is a retired chemist, I have come to the conclusion that this single invention could blaze a path for other inventions that would defeat carbon emissions and air pollution altogether
So why phenolphthalein over other options?

I invented a device that converts all manual toilets to foot operated flush.

I applied for patent.

further damage to the Ozone layer from carbon emissions.
in the 90's they were saying there was a hole in the Ozone over Antarctica and we were all going to burn from the sun but 2010......... what happened?

I just recently watched the documentary "The Island President", which is a film about carbon emissions in the atmosphere and the issues it has caused the environment, particularly coastal erosion in the Maldives and other small islands.

Now you done messed up. I hope the door to the Poli Board is closed.

But how the heck is a pH indicator supposed to fuel a car? At least the fuel would be pretty I guess.

I did a home experiment with it the other day using a pistonic engine and it flowed through with a low viscosity and no release of detrimental emissions.

sounds dumb.

I'll tell you like i tell my kid. What needs to be invented is a way to harness energy efficiently, as in batteries. the technology behind batteries has gone nowhere.

The Tom Cruise movie with Cameron Diaz, forgot the name of it, where the kid invented a device about the size of a double A battery that could power a city, that's what needs to be invented.

Sounds retarded to say it, but Iron Man's arc reactor, that's they type of thing that needs to be invented.

We'll be stuck as a civilization until someone figures out how to harness a shite load of energy in something small.

Nuclear reactors are the closet thing we have to that, but you cna't have a nuclear reactor powering your car.

Well since you are a teacher and are poor, I’m going to take my OT money and go ahead and pay for the patent. Thanks for the idea sucker.

If phenolphthalein provides enough power for me to loudly burn the tires when accelerating from a traffic signal, I’m on board with this idea.

And not meaning to crush your dream, but I’ve never heard of a pH indicator producing any reactions volatile enough to provide anything near what we get from fossil fuels. Nothing does. It’s why we use fossil fuels.

Was teaching my 2 year old this just last night, we each pick a funny song or verse he went with the Hokey Pokey, mine was that exact statement. "We all know algal biofuels are being developed to possibly eradicate the longstanding issue"

He smiled, good times

Talk to Al Gore first. He can tell you how much your crock invention will net you. He's good at that.
