If I'm in that situation I would have paid for the car out of savings, even tho it would have depleted it. Then pay my savings back what you would paid your 401k. If an emergency came up where I needed the savings you could have then have taken a loan against your 401k.

Damn, it like none of y'all have traveled lately. Most hotels do not want you at their front desk. You can check in and out on their mobile app and never speak to anyone. Make sure your credit cards are up to date within the app. Most hotels will allow you check in 24 hours before your scheduled arrival and issue you a room key that is accessible on your phone. The only time I go to the front desk is to get my free bottled water
This is the way to do it. Probably the only way. They more than likely are not renting a car since you have to be 25
