My good buddy lives near the Calhoun GA one, and says they have a better beer selection than the local liquor store or grocery store, so he goes there for that purpose. He likes the fancy beers.

I live about 20-25 minutes away from one that is in a town north of mine, but I'm never up that way for any reason. I live in Texas and we've had Buccees for a long time, so luckily the novelty has kind of worn off for my kids and wife. But, omg, I remember being forced to stop st that busy arse Buccees on I-35 anytime we were driving between Dallas and San Antonio. Buccees and the damned Czech Stop gas station with the famous kolaches were sure fire way to piss me off on any of our trips down I-35.

I didn't learn this until recently, but the Buccees founder/owner is an aggie who was in the Corp of cadets there where he was nicknamed Beaver during his college days. I guess that's where the Buccees beaver comes from.

I can't decide whether that makes me want to take more dumps there, or not. I had a tradition that I would make sure I'd stop at I65, exit 151, to piss on Auburn territory, anytime I drove between GA?SC and LA. I think more dumps are called for given that new info.

I should start a tradition of crapping in CS/Bryan, but there isn't anywhere worth stopping. The QT between CS and just after the 35 E/W split is probably the way to go on that route.

If you let your wife tell you to wait to shop for a Saturday BBQ until that morning, you don't have any hope anyway.

I bet you go to Sams or Costco on the weekend at just before noon, too.

Some of us have to work during the week to pay taxes to support all the poors.

What do you have against such a fine Texas institution as Buc-ee's anyway? Where did the beaver touch you?

The first two times I stopped at a Buc-ees, it was in the early AM hours. Very pleasant experience.

The third time I stopped, it was around noon on a weekend. Holy shite.

Great, I don't let the arseholes that work with/for me schedule meetings at 3PM on a Friday.

I think I made clear, I like to crap in them, but having 300 teenagers wandering around looking for slurpees, not a fan.

It's really no worse than an HEB or a Walmarks on any given weekend.

It’s actually better, because even if it’s elbow to arse crowded… they’ve got like 30 cashiers working.

I’d be trying to get a job at buccees if I lived that close.

I live 20 min drive to the one by TMS. I’ll get gas when I am out there or the occasional brisket sandwich. It is like any other gas station to me

only been to Buc-ee’s a handful of times but I’ve always been able to grab my stuff and check out with a cashier immediately. Never had to wait in line.

No matter how busy it is this has always been the case for me. It’s actually pretty amazing.

I've only been to one twice so correct me if I'm wrong, but it's not like they have great prices on stuff. Their hot food is very good, but expensive as shite. It's just a tourist trap

For the life of me, I can’t understand the bitching about this. I have never waited or been annoyed by “traffic” at a Bucees. I’m not really sure what yal are referring to as traffic.

You expect that place to be vacant every time you go

This!

I have never waited in line at any location for more than 5-7 minutes. The only issues I ever faced was going within the first few weeks of a new location, when there might have been 10 or more cars in front of me trying to get in the parking lot. I consider that my fault for not waiting until the newness fades.

We live about 3 miles from the Katy Bucee’s. I go for Icees and my husband goes for their breakfast burritos. In other words, I go a few times a month during the summer and he goes once a week.

The only traffic I’ve ever experienced was the Alabama location.

Never had a long wait in line. I’m not sure what y’all are experiencing.

Which one? There are at least three: Robertsdale, Leeds, and Auburn.

I would agree with this with the exception of..... the Foley Alabama exit. Whew that one is bad.
