Do you frequent Buc-ee's or is it too much of an inconvenience to fight the traffic and lines?

Other than the one off of 10 near Robertsdale, I don’t think I’ve ever had an issue with traffic or lines

The only buccees I regularly stop at is the one in Giddings - and it’s the size of a circle k.

Too much hassle for the big ones.

I have a speed routine that usually involves the rest room, a fountain drink, and an Italian/Turkey sandwich. Minus the toilet, I'm in and out in less than four minutes. Since I'm always driving solo, hot food is essentially a non starter to avoid dropping crap on my shirt, etc. while driving. Sauce on clothing isn't a good thing when you're going to be out of town for a few days.

There is, however, an art to where you park. At the one in Katy, you can easily get trapped in the parking lot by not being able to pull out of your space if you park in the wrong place.

Go in the side entrances, not the front. I honestly prefer QT on the way to DFW, as long as I don't need the toilet.

My parents live 15 miles from a gas station, unless it’s after 9pm or a Sunday, then it’s +20 miles.

There are three of them (including the original location) between Freeport and Angleton TX and im in one of them once a month or so. They are smaller than your average RaceTrac. The one in Freeport actually has a rather extensive saltwater fishing section. I was stopping in there 20 years before I even knew it was Buc-ee's and not the "gas station with fishing shite before you hit Surfside"

Leeds? Yeah, they've been done for quite a while. Like a year or more.

I buy gas and ice there a lot. It’s really not that busy during the week.

JESUS! Don't listen to this man, that place is a hell hole. And they don't allow people anymore.

Next thing you will be telling people a day at Sand Island is better than Crab Island in Destin.

We actually live about 10min from beach in Bon Secour...

We are in year 5 of half-arse looking for the right place for a build on Bon Secour. We passed on the Coopers Landing area around 10 years ago and I regret it to this day. We were there for a low key week in October and it was cool to see construction of the new Tin Top on the water. LOVE that area.

I live within 10 miles but only really go because there is a Costco across the street that I go to a couple times a month.

We have a Quik Trip nearby that serves just fine as a gas station. Maybe if I want to choose between 80 different kinds of candy and different kitchen signs that say ‘Bless this mess’ would I go to buc-ee’s more.

outside of holidays, most Bucees here are just another gas station as far as traffic. I will stop on the way to San Antonio or Dallas for some food but that is it. We are not obsessed with a gas station like the rest of you.

Still not open yet... Old one will be Italian, new one Seafood.

Worth moving here just to go and drop off mail with the Postmaster at the Bon Secour Post Office...

Prolly hit Billy's twice a week, best around to throw on grill.

For the life of me, I can’t understand the bitching about this. I have never waited or been annoyed by “traffic” at a Bucees. I’m not really sure what yal are referring to as traffic.

It's really no worse than an HEB or a Walmarks on any given weekend.

Love Billy's and their setup. We had a crazy amount of west wind on our October trip, so I launched at Billy's and fished the river and some of the bayous. First time I had done that and had a blast. Really looking forward to getting over there permanently one day.

If you let your wife tell you to wait to shop for a Saturday BBQ until that morning, you don't have any hope anyway.

I bet you go to Sams or Costco on the weekend at just before noon, too.
