The amount of absolute vile hatred thrown at those white boys who are trying to mourn their friend is insane. People will tell you it’s “just social media” or that the algorithm is just trying to make you angry. That’s BS.

Is it the “algorithm” causing me to see black people I know in real life reposting this twisted shite blaming those boys? It’s not bots, it’s not whatever. There’s a huge number of people in this nation that are blatantly racist and hateful and are allowed to be that way because we’re too browbeaten to tell them to shut the frick up.

Is the algorithm stirring up these retards? Sure! But I’m not going to be told that actually only a small number think this way and it’s social media making you think it’s more. It’s people I know.

ETA: As if Karmelo didn’t already make it clear.

Reposting shite mindlessly on social media and believing that shite are two different things. Most people are just retarded.

Social media wouldn't be so bad if it were how it was originally set up. No algorithms...just you connected to the people you know. The algorithm and people's addiction to feeding it have poisoned our society.

It’s because outrage is a business now. You can drum up followers by having extreme takes on situations. Stirring up people equals clicks. These folks will never go away.

I obviously mean that people blame the algorithms for showing you random people doing shite to make you angry. I’m saying that this is just straight up connected to my friends on Facebook sharing shite.

There's no way to solve race relations when one side sees nothing but racial problems everywhere they look.

Thank you baws. I wouldn’t even know about Nolan Wells or Karmelo if it wasn’t for this place. Thanks for keeping me informed on this very important subject matter

Part of the issue is people repeating nonsense they read on social media as fact. There have been things that never happened (on tape or otherwise) in the Karmelo Anthony case that some people are still insisting absolutely did happen, despite the fact that his own defense attorneys didn't even bring it up at trial.

Black people dont like white people.

That's never going to change and isn't strictly this country.

We are the minority on this planet.

Its both. People are broken and then the algorithm amplifies their broken takes because it drives engagement from both people who hate it and people who will further amplify. It's a vicious feedback loop of vitriol.

You do know that news articles are brought here right?

That's how we know about it, it was on the news. And not everyone that follows these cases posts on Tigerdroppings.

Simple minded.

This... generates clicks and sensationalism.

The advent of social media was the beginning of the end for Western society.

It's too easy of a crutch to blame all of your problems on it now. And on top of that, racism pushing has basically become a very profitable business nowadays. So yeah, it isn't going anywhere.

Thankfully, most people don't buy into it and social media doesn't represent the feelings of the masses (at least IMO).

They know better. The problem is it's a business.

Obama brought the race baiting hustle back to life after it was just about dead.
