quote:

"When people say 'black lives matter,' it doesn't mean that blue lives don't matter," Obama said, referring to police officers. "But right now, the data shows that black folks are more vulnerable to these kinds of incidents. There is a particular burden that is being placed on a group of our fellow citizens."

quote:

He continued, "To admit we've got a serious problem in no way contradicts our respect and appreciation for the vast majority of police officers who put their lives on the line to protect us every single day. It is to say that, as a nation, we can and must do better to institute the best practices that reduce the appearance or reality of racial bias in law enforcement."

He's the one that has from the beginning of his time in office, stirred all this shite up.

Remember the "if I had a son"?

He's the most divisive president in modern history.

As the POTUS, he should never be making a statement with that combination of words. He's a real PoS.

This is purposeful on his part. He has an agenda that I just can't quite figure out yet. He has destroyed this Country for a long time to come. God help us if Hillary follows him with the same agenda for 8 more years.

Should have highlighted this.

It means exactly what I think.

It's just so fricking dishonest to say that "black folks are more vulnerable to these issues" and not talk about why they are more vulnerable.

There's no such thing as honest conversations about race. It's hard to see how things get better from here. Dishonesty at the root of a discussion doesn't lead to good things.

Is anyone else surprised that he hasn't brought up gun control?

I am sure all of this led to a gun control argument too. I didn't have a chance to watch any of it yet though.

and if he could run again in november the blacks would still vote for him. It's sickening.

Obama is an agenda driven a-hole. Never has placed blame on the behavior of those who are vulnerable and what they've done to cause these "vulnerabilities"

Divide and conquer, my brother.

Racial tension keeps the black vote in the Dems's corner.

The SJW movement steals well-meaning but too sensitive folks from normal mainstream consciousness. Conservatives are marginalized and BHO's party has and will continue to have the keys to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

I agree with a lot of points in this thread but I don't think his speech was as bad as folks are making it out to be. He's right. There are specific problems and there is also fundamental problems that are much broader. Addressing both is necessary.

That blacks that would turn out would still vote for him. But, the majority are uninformed and quite frankly, ignorant. Jay Z could run for President without addressing one issue and he would bring in the majority of the black's vote.

I voted for him his first term. I saw the writing on the wall (nothing to do with social or racial divide) and didn't vote to reelect him for his second term.

He's a horrible, horrible president. I put him with Carter.
