pretty much every Friday in the fall there was a shotgun or rifle in my truck. The shop teacher on duty in the student parking lot saw my shotgun laying in the backseat one day, and came and got me at lunch to tell me to go put it on the floorboard so nobody would see, new rules and all could get me in trouble.

Used to smoke j's with my podnuhs on the corner across from school before class. Usually had a pocket knife on me at all times too. School has been pussified.

I hid a frozen catfish in one of the ceiling tiles right before spring break.

Those poor janitors. I feel bad about it now.

This for sure....and a .22 revolver in the console.

Also we made an aerosol can blow torch in the physics classroom....we did get a shitload of running at football practice for that (physics teacher was the D Line coach), but I'm sure today we would have been shite canned in today's world.

Asking your science teacher, that just started teaching the name of the planet before Neptune, then asking to see her's after she answered the question.

I really hated this time in society. Every decade previously was unique and its own.

Feels like it's been the same drag for 20 years.

I’ve got to agree with you. I was born in 1970 so I remember pretty much from the mid-70 until today. And each decade had its own unique style and feel until we hit the 2000s. But since then the only thing that seems to change is increasing levels of hyper-politicization and increasing PC sensitivity.

Only where you went maybe. This was very common.

39th... I think the one on Main closed. It's not Happy Hour anymore though. Maybe the Snoball place instead?

I graduated from in 2006 from a BR school and I remember the disciplinarian seeing one in someone’s truck and he simply told him to call his dad and get him to come pick it up

Now this was a private school so common sense is allowed to be used

Received a pocket knife for Xmas in maybe 5th or 6th grade. Carried it to school each day until the day I graduated high school.

I don't remember ever taking it out of my pocket during school, but walking home and taking a detour through the local bayou, there was always something to find to perform a biology experiment on.

And in Jr High, I'd ride the bike to K&B to buy various candy, take it to school the next day, sell for a profit, and do it again. The school wasn't happy about that then, but I never got in any serious trouble.

A future felon in the making I guess...

Almost every day during hunting season. Was either in the cab or toolbox
