Boat/motor/decoys in bed of truck and guns infront cir 1984. Skipping English lit to pickup a six pack from Big Johns and coming back with a buzz to get the assignment.

I hid a frozen catfish in one of the ceiling tiles right before spring break.
Those poor janitors. I feel bad about it now.

I was dared to ask our black male sub if he was gay
That would happen in the 70's for sure, and it would be a female asking it.
All of the kids in our class called one guy "The Everyday Housewife" for two or three years, and he didn't care. It wasn't as much about him acting gay, as it was him bitching about everything all the time. One day in class a girl said you sound like one of those women they describe as an everyday housewife in a dish washing liquid commercial. It stuck. Anytime he complained about anything after that he got called that.
An ad calling a woman that today would cause outrage, and lawsuits. I think calling someone the, "Can I see the manager" woman is about the same thing now.

I graduated in the early 2000s and even after Columbine it wasn’t an issue.

Our drama class took a field trip to the Baton Rouge little Theater near Bon Marche. This was around 1983/84. I had a car so I drove a classmate to the theater. We had a lunch break after a production, so mike and I drove to Taco Bell and had a meal. We we were walking back in the parking lot, our drama teacher was in her car watching us. She verbally reprimanded us but was very cool about keeping us from disciplinary action. It could have ended up in a school suspension since we went AWOL during school time.

If they were same sex I think you just get a slap on the wrist now.

I think we could have been in trouble if we had gotten into a car accident or accidentally hurt someone else while on school time. My teacher liked me and my classmate so she did not tell on us. Later that year, we had a party at my teachers home on highland road. She was married at the time but she was cool AF. She would get angry if you did not remember your lines for a performance though.

Tapped into the school PA system so we could broadcast whenever we wanted. Even over the announcements from the office. Not so much what we did but what we said.
Had a guy who was pretty much an electronics genius open the main PA set up and rewire it inside then run out connection through the back into the ceiling and then to a janitors closet where out stuff was set up.

We use to leave our hunting rifles in our trucks and nobody ever got in trouble. I remember many times people pulling guns out in parking lot showing them off or whatever
And how many shootings were there at your school?
Follow up question: Can we learn anything from that?

You could have banged that teacher now. So I guess some things have gotten better.

Ex girlfriend and I had sex in a band closet. Probably would’ve gotten expelled back then also if we got caught. That was 99/00

well we had a dedicated smoking area...
That was gone when I was in highschool, but I would go behind the machine shop and smoke with the janitors sometimes.

LOL!! So many things we did back then that I’ve thought,,, we’d go to juvenile prison now, in School or out of school!
My brother and I played football but not basketball. We took a black priest with us to Leesville to see our schools basketball team play a game. We stopped and got a twelve pack of beer leaving town, offered the priest one but he said no. Drove about 100 mph all the way and I believe we kinda scared him a little.. Once he figured out we weren’t gonna kill him (on purpose), he loosened up and started telling jokes and had a great time! He didn’t rat us out the next day, although we really didn’t care if he did. He was my favorite priest in Alexandria from that point in! We invited him several times after that for road trips but I believe he didn’t want to risk not making it back!! LOL.... we probably should have been in jail at that point in our lives...
We did straighten up... kinda.

When I was in upper elementary/jr high we brought knives to school to play chicken at recess. That was way back in the 70’s
I also remember a smoke bench under an oak tree for the older kids. I went to a K-12 school. Actually, 1-12 it was so long ago there wasn’t kindergarten.
When I was a senior we use to run errands for the principal all the time. Leave school almost all day sometimes. Stop n drink . You could buy beer anywhere then .
