Traveling this weekend and every restaurant had signs asking patrons to please be patient they are understaffed and can’t find people to hire. In the airports everything was so slow because no one could keep a full staff. Last week I got off a conference call with a manufacturer that is trying to fill 200 spots but can’t find anyone. They are going to homeless shelters and no one is willing work. Apparently when you can make a decent living without working, people won’t work.

Doesn’t help that every publication is telling people to quit their job and get dat gubment cheese. Screw people trying to run a business, we need votes. Has someone ever asked the dipshits in our government why Eastern bloc economies were so stagnant until they got rid of communism?

Sounds like they suck at recruiting people

Just got back from the beach and nearly every single place is hiring.

There were exactly four people working the breakfast shift at McDonald's one morning. It is ridiculous.

My youngest went looking for a job and literally couldn’t get one. I guess people aren’t that hard up.

People apply for a job to qualify for Biden Bucks and fail to show up for the interview. If we’re going to throw away money, why not give more “stimulus” to people that prove they can hold a job.

I get the initial surge if folks not working.... but now this is still happening?
I don’t get it.

No way feds are handing out enough money to people that were working and now aren’t to keep them afloat.

These two sentences contradict each other.

There was an article last week on the labor shortage, particularly in the hotel and restaurant industry. Seems a lot of restaurant workers felt incredibly better while not working last year and realized the toll restaurant work took on their bodies and many have decided to pursue other careers.

obviously the answer is for companies to raise wages to attract workers, which totally won’t result in higher prices being passed to the consumer so that the companies can stay solvent with the added cost of labor, which totally won’t mean cost of living creeps up, which totally won’t mean government has to raise the floor at which they subsidize peoples’ existence, which totally won’t mean people will clamor for higher wages or they’ll just take the government cheese

it is true that wages haven’t kept up with cost of living and this is going to have to change to convince people to go back to work if we are going to have the welfare state as constructed, but this cycle is going to be never ending with our current expansionary monetary system and in the end the lower class is never truly going to win

Free loaders should be rounded up and expelled
It’s unbelievable that a place like China had more work ethic than the USA
Thanks Biden and co

Because the media wouldn't talk about these ridiculous UI benefits and how they are actually discouraging people from returning to work.

Louisiana finally killed the extended federal benefits in their state. The labor shortage will work itself out in a few months now.

You gotta remember this is not an insult to the Democrats. It is what they want. It is a compliment. The more people on the gov handout list, the more voters they have.
