Went to HS with a guy that was morbidly obese. He learned about those slim fast shakes and starting using them regularly to try to lose weight. Unfortunately, his solution was to replace his cokes with lunch & dinner with slim fast shakes with lunch & dinner.

Euros are getting fatter too actually, noticeably on my last trip. Especially brits, brits are a hell of a lot fatter than I remember. But some Germans also, Germans are generally extremely athletic as a society but I think there are some groups of people that are starting to fall out of the mold.
Which the sad thing is the only real reason Euros are skinnier is because they do a lot more walking because they HAVE to. They may not eat as much processed and fast food.

I just laughed my way through this article. It’s too bad we praise obesity today. And “ableism.” Must be a new word to play on. Too bad for her.

That’s easily over 2500 pounds in that photo. C’mon people there is no reason to be that fat…and embrace it as being real!

Wrong. Nature does. Fat is an unnatural state.

As a fat guy, I can't stand this thought process. Be real and own up to your mistakes
Yes, it is hard having a shitty metabolism and also food is amazing, but still up to me to exercise and have better will power and self control.
I'm not going to blame 2000 year old city for being old and having narrow streets and hallways

Most people nowadays are pretty fat but not as fat as those gals.
I catch hell at work for not eating the free breakfasts every morning or going out for lunch every day. It's crazy how things are shifting. You don't have to go to the level of the lady in the article to contribute to normalizing obesity.
Part of me feels bad for the woman in the article. She has probably been fat her entire life and nobody has ever told her it's a problem. She hears all kinds of crap about it not being unhealthy. She's felt like crap her entire life and has no idea how much easier literally every aspect of her life would be if she lost weight.

Won't work. The airline will, if only one person checks in and anyone is on standby, put someone in the second seat. Been known for years. Would make sense but the airlines will not honor it.

That's a new one on me too. I had to google it.
I love how she says "those with infinifat bodies" like it's the same as being left-handed or having red hair, and she is a powerless 3rd party.

“Infinifat” describes anyone over a size 32. It's used for those of us that are the most underserved in fat communities because they are the largest. They have the most significant barriers to healthcare, lack of access to clothing, lack of access to public spaces, discrimination in the workplace, and more.

I mean the shite is out of control with a group of "anti-fat is everywhere" people criticizing Adele and Rebel Wilson for losing weight and getting healthy

Really?
It is why we used to refer to many of these diseases as the “diseases of the affluent”. They existed in communities that had excess beyond what they needed.
quote:
Examples of diseases of affluence include mostly chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and other physical health conditions for which personal lifestyles and societal conditions associated with economic development are believed to be an important risk factor — such as type 2 diabetes, asthma, coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, obesity, hypertension, cancer, alcoholism, gout, and some types of allergy.[1

Is a seatbelt extender even needed when you're wedged into your seat?

I thought this was a troll article. No real person could write something so oblivious to reality. Turns out that the author, Cheyenne M. Davis is a real person.
On second thought. I still don't think this is a real person.

My current goals are to do some on-camera and screenwriting work, continue to craft inclusive content and act as a consultant for brands, platforms, etc. to change and add features that are inclusive of marginalized individuals, especially those who share the intersections of fatness, queerness, transness and Blackness. I don’t see enough representations of people that look like me and members of my community often, and I will continue to hold space and try to make access for my people because we deserve EVERYTHING and more.
