1 light year = 5.88 trillion miles.

In the grand scheme of things, nothing we do will amount to anything that matters.

Speak for yourself.

I had taco bell and black coffee for breakfast.

Right. I find that notion to be incredibly freeing.

We are ants on a hill, and I find it laughable that humans think they have the slightest idea of the bigger plan.

Ants. On. A. fricking. Hill.

But, is there "climate change" way out yonder like there is here?

Acceptance of the fact we are only here to observe and experience is liberating.

I fly a starship
Across the universe divide
And when I reach the other side
I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Perhaps I may become a highwayman again
Or I may simply be a single drop of rain
But I will remain
And I'll be back again, and again, and again, and again....

This. The average human thinks that they are far more significant than they are.

accepting and relishing in just how finite and small our lives really are makes life so much more beautiful

its a shame so many people fight against this

Size is relative.

Our universe may be no larger than the petri dish in which it resides.

Well that's not true. Maybe it doesn't matter to someone on the other side of the universe, but it surely matters within our lives here. At least somewhat.
