One reason would be that many folks change their recognition of identity. One nationality, race, religion... to something completely different. Or something like an African identifying as white until they moved to Oregon 15+ years ago and changed identity to African American/black. Really light skinned black and white Americans do that shyt all the time for whatever benefit.

I actually don’t have a problem with reparations as long as it’s open to everyone and meets certain criteria and that the government pass a sales tax dedicated to funding it which has a sunset clause without possibility of renewal. Any amount given will be offset by past governmental assistance.
1. Must be U.S citizen for the past 10 years.
2. Must prove direct disenfranchisement by the government
3.Must sign a pledge allegiance to the government (which will include a No Kneeling or otherwise express unpatriotic acts against this country)
4.Sign waiver of any further claims
5. No felony record
I wouldn’t even make them agree to spend it on structured measures like education or investing. Go ahead and spend it on candy and firearms. Don’t matter to me.
The payments end with one generation to avoid a perpetual mill of payments to offspring. In other words, no payments to children of parents who got reparations. It’s one generation gift.
