If reparations do become popular nationwide, my proposal would be that the government pay reparations to all the people who were fricked out of jobs by NAFTA. The town I grew up in has been completely destroyed by the textile and timber industries vanishing. Of course that won't ever happen, but anything that even vaguely resembles the government doing good for its citizens rather than its largest corporate donors is a win in my book.
