Let's see, 1865 was 156 years ago, so just for the sake of argument, let's say there were slaves still alive 75 years after the end of the civil war.

Has anyone in the last 81 years been directly impacted by slavery and unable to support themselves?

Is this only for black people? Since Chinese people were used as essentially slave labor out west, shouldn't they get a piece of the pie?

I can't imagine there were that many documented black slaves in Oregon at any time.

If I'm a taxpayer in Oregon, I'm moving. Not paying that crap. I had nothing to do with that shite.

Honestly this would be a great time for one of those structured settlement class actions.

"Do you want $123,000 over the 50 years or $10k cash right now!"

One African slave ancestor and proof that you identified as Black at least 9 years ago.

Let's call 25 years one generation. By that definition, slavery was about 7 generations back. 1 / 128th Black and some 10 year old O-T posts about your dick size gets you the prize? Can't be that easy.

It was an exaggeration. Nevertheless, the black population in Oregon is minuscule compared to Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, or Georgia.

They're actually going to give both of the black people that live in Oregon 123,000 dollars...each?

Who wouldn't move to Oregon and just wait 2 years before they apply if they meet the criteria?
Because the deadline to apply is less than two years away.
