For their generation, it's probably fine. I consider it a red flag when we get resumes though.

My sister’s email is firstnamemiddlename420@yahoo

I was like I’m gonna set you up a new email when I did her resume

In college...had girl at another school that I had been dating for a couple of years. I met another girl in class and we started hanging out together. We messed around a little. I liked her a lot, and was going to dump the girl at the other school (old gf)...but the new girl found out about the old gf before I had a chance to dump old gf (I know this is getting a bit long).

Summary...old gf wound up being a narcassistic twat...new gf went on to go to law school and became an assistant attorney general in a neighboring state...so, I missed out on the smart one, and I really have to obey state laws anytime I travel through Kentucky.

She's lucky you were looking out for her!

There was only one that truly got away. We dated off/on over the course of 3 years. She was stunning, maybe 5'4" and around 110. We got along better than anyone I've ever been with, including my ex-wife who I was married to for just over 10 years. We just "got" each other. Our meeting was purely circumstantial as our sons were in the same class at school - it was the Christmas party. I remember seeing her at the party and thinking damn I've got to meet her. We ended up dating, as I said, over the course of three years. We'd split but always found our way back to each other. That happened maybe 5-6 times. Amazing personality. Amazing body and even better in bed. The final time was the best and worst. She moved in for roughly two months. It's a long story but her family disapproved so much because of the way our relationship initially began. Long story. And she is truly the one that got away.

Met her through a friend. He liked her. So I never chased or even thought about it. Played wingman with him a lot when he hung out with her. He will be the best man when I get married so I wouldn't have made a move even if I knew honestly.

You ever ask him about it to get his thoughts at the time if you had found out and asked him? I have a few what ifs and two of them are directly due to what was my best friend like in your situation.

First one was the same situation as yours, but I knew she liked me. He really really liked her and wasn't cool with me dating her and I wouldn't of even known her if it wasn't for him. I let him chase her and she eventually just left our friend group as she had no interest in him and moved on to other things. She moved away before I stopped being friends with that guy and I never had another shot. I saw her years later with my wife and she was still pretty damn hot. She ignored me.

The one that really ended up killing our friendship is I had been really good friends with this other girl that was in a relationship during the same time period as above. This was the flipside of the story above. He knew she was my unicorn at the time. She got out of the relationship. We started dating and hitting it off. He blind sides her that he wants to date her behind my back and starts talking all sorts of trash to get her. She wasn't cool with drama and told us both to hit the road. We were done as friends after that, killed over a decade of friendship for me, I'm still not sure if he did it because the other girl liked me and not him even though I didn't make a move and if he even had actual interest. I thought about contacting him years later, found him on Facebook. He took a different direction in college than I did, like not finishing, and it's better I don't contact him.

No you didn't. Quit making excuses

You were looking elsewhere, because she wasn't THE ONE. So getting some strange, had nothing to do with what you thought she was doing.

There are a few that got away.

One died at 20, another lives on the other side of the world, one pulled for chicago in the 2006 season, but all in all..I love my current and I'm glad I am where I am

If the one I'm with now gets away, she will definitely be the one that got away

I've never really had a one that got away. Every girl I've dated, we've broken up because we either weren't compatible or she was a horrendous person.

What I do regret is the amount of offered sex I turned down because I was dating said horrendous person at the time.

Cheated on my high school sweetheart within my first month of college in a Xanax and alcohol infused stupor.
This girl had stayed at the local university while I finished my senior year then moved to LSU with me for college.
Ended up dating my next girlfriend as well as my HS girlfriend for almost the whole semester. They both knew but both thought they were the special one and the other was a tramp.
I took a flying wine bottle to the back from HS girlfriend while hanging out with some friends in the Cottages with new girlfriend.
Then new girlfriend stabbed me with a fork for staying out all night “with that bitch” , I was really with some friends smelling cocaine.
shite happens but my HS girlfriend was a really sweet girl that didn’t deserve the rude shite I did/said to her, I wonder what could’ve been
